GrubbyWorld Rewritten
A downloadable game for Windows
The following description is based on a fictitious game that never really existed.
For a long while I've been sitting on the old SWF files for one of my favourite forgotten childhood MMOs. It's called GrubbyWorld, and in it players chatted as Grubs, played games online, and made forever friends. The old game shut down in 2014, long before the death of Flash, but it's only now that I've been able to restore the game to a semblance of working order.
In these files you will find the dressup and cave decoration features restored based on a cache of my old items. You can play with and feed your Grub as well. I hope to restore more of the game so you can all revisit, or perhaps discover for the first time, one of my favourite games!
I've also included a little description of the old MMO as I remember it, as well as some NEVER BEFORE SEEN concept art! I hope you all like it. Please share your own original grubs. I would love to see them!

Install instructions
Unzip the file and double click GrubbyWorld.exe.

Definitely brought me back to the peak days of flash games, even the little backstory fits (the username gave me a chuckle).
It would be cool to see you expand it into something bigger, maybe additional animations/artworks for when Grub is doing the different activities.
Overall, a very charming and cute little game!
An absolute Nostalgia blast. I you were on the internet in the early 2000s then this will totally give you fun flashbacks. Give it a try and spend some time customizing your adorable slug.
Also, the faux-background story is SO spot on!
oh i love the presentation of this, such a lovely aesthetic and feeling i could've been convinced this is just an old flash game i missed in my childhood, the ads on the side are a great touch
